my mother board is a gigabyte ga-7n400l

put the new ram in and put the fsb to 200 and see if that works

that's my problem i did put it to 200 and now my comp won't boot.. it just starts and stay's on a black screen any idea how i can get back into it

i found the problem, looking at your cpu online it says that it only has 333Mhz fsb so thats 166mhz so thats the highest u can put it, make sure that its set to asyncranous and not syncranous otherwise the system wont boot and i think the cpu multiplyer should be at 13 with the fsb at 166
