Dont bump, untill its way way down the page, or on the next one. I usually dont look at theads past the first page at all. Usualy i stop at about 3/4 down the page. So really i suspect from then on its okay. But say its only been an hour, and its down that far. Then no, dont do it. Wait a few hours.. just so it doesnt look like your trying to make posts for yourself.
