yeah! 8 is crazy!...
visually, it's not allll too different from xp, only with the aero glass theme or w/e
i dont know, maybe i was just expecting more from vista, but it's still not even done so i shouldn't be talking

It seems like its going to be good from the features I've seen.

That 3D flip thing has interested me, plus the application specific volume

I have 512 MB of RAM and integrated intel graphics, so I don't know if I will be able to take advantage of the better graphical user interface of vista. Anyone know if that is going to be good enough? Or am I going to need like 1GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics board?

You'll need a dedicated graphics board for all the advanced stuff I'm afraid. On board wouldn't be up to it.

You could probably still run Windows, but not with all the advanced effects.

heck, even my 9800PRO probably wouldn't be up to the job.

You see, its not using software to run Windows anymore. Its going to be using Hardware to draw everything. Should make it faster though, along with adding really complex effects.

I hope it has proper sliding down of bars, etc
