I downloaded some .3ds files( 50 or so) and like 20 of them are horribly skewed, parts missing, ect, generally unusable.

I got them from a very reputable website that sepcializes in 3d star wars models. Why are these not working, its too many to be a bad file on a website.

I use bryce 5

Some 3DS files might not be compatable with some programs.
It depends what they contain.
To tell the truth, 3DS files are more common for 3D Studio Max, based on the name 3DS.

Bryce will just be trying to emulate the import.

I wouldn't think so.

3DS should and I mean Should, be able to be used on all 3D software properly, without any problems. Its strange the star wars models you've downloaded are having issues.

Is there a Bryce file format you could hunt for files for?

Well go to File, Save As. Whats the Bryce file format?

Like for example, 3D Studio Max is .Max files.
