Looking for 5.1 sound card: Cheap and effective!

I used the drivers provided by C-Media in place of the AOpen ones. It's a C-Media chip set.

Looks really REALLY nice for only twelve!

It was a lot more at the local comp store. I think it's great. Sound is clear and bright. The software has a lot of bells and whistles you'll find interesting. EQ, mixer and channel select. You can disable the midi/joystick socket if you want to also.

Have you heard other sound cards? If so.. How do you think they compare with yours? And what ones are they(only if there bette)?

It's just as good as the sound blaster line for a lot less money. I've used SB cards before. Major pain in the butt getting the drivers and support software to work right.
My little card slips right in and loads right up. It's a lot of bang for the buck.

I like how that sounds. Thats even so cheap, ill get it no questions asked. Well other then the parents credit card number, lol. Cause I hvae that much sitting in my wallet. But do you think that is actually one to get? Any other options? But im liking that one.
