Something is seriously wrong here.

So, me and my friend are going about our buisness playing BF2 because it's freezing cold outside and hailing. We install BF2 on his computer and he uses my cd key and stuff. I install BF2 SF and use that to play regular BF2. Well we can't connect to the same servers of course, but every time we play, if it actually lets us play without closing down the game, it doesn't count our rank!
So here is a list:

A. We install BF/2 on his computer.
B. I bought BF/2 SF and can use the SF disk to play regular BF/2
C. We download the 1.2 patch.
D. When he plays it doesn't count any of his rank stats.
E. When I play it randomly gives me guns or takes them away.
F. This mostly happens to me, but when we play about 2minutes into the game it randomly closes BF/2.
G. It's calling itself BF/2 1.12 on my computer even though I can see and connect to 1.2 servers and I installed the 1.2 patch.

PLEASE HELP US!!!!!

Yea I did reinstall, about 3 times. Now it randomly shuts down and lets us play when it wants to.

Uhh so you have two people playing online that are both using the same cd key? That might be why.

Even though you're using the SF disc to play regular BF2, you still use your BF2 CD-Key in regular BF2 games. So, when you and him log on, you're using the same CD-Key. And that, is a big no-no. That's your problem.

k well he can use my bf/2 cd key and i can play BF2/SF and we can play but not the same version of bf/2 right?

I don't know. Maybe try repatching. That might fix the trick. I don't know though. But here's my suggestion: get a CD key. People have CD-Keys allll over the place. It's just a matter of random numbers and digits, companies crack them all the time. Try going to ######.## and searching for one. I've used my BF2 SF CDs on, let me count...7 computers. So yeah, each one has a different CD Key though.

Possible with SF, but don't think it works with normal BF2. Haven't tried though.
And try if those SF serials that u got from a keygen work after the new patch.
And btw, this is kinda getting illegal, so we might just stop this discussion right now.
