China is not true commuism they allow capatilization. They allow some relegion. Commuism DOES NOT WORK. Its a proven fact. It took 50 million russians deaths to reliease taht it doesn't work. Its a great theory. But honsetly I wouldn't even want it. A doctor makeing as much as his nurse when he nurse does a lesser job. Also your goverment officals wouldn't live in proverty. And communist states ceasnor like mad so scadnals would have to BE HUGE to even be noticed. And byt then the public would be too stupid to udnerstand it. It doesn't work its a proven fact. Its anice thoery it sounds reallly nice but wouldn't work with any large group of poeple.
totally agree!

not really the leader lives in royalty everybody else lives in a dump.

Another person who is blinded by stereotypes and generalizations. How sad...

The whole idea behind Communism is that everyone shares everything and receives basic benefits such as: health care, food, jobs, fuel, housing etc. There is no private ownership meaning that you can't own your own store. It's technically the governments. In Communism, there is NO leader. Everyone basically works together to the point where a government isn't needed because nothing has to be enforced. In a Capitalist country there are always the Bourgoise (upper class/factory owners etc) and the Proletariat (workers/peasants etc). Through out history the Bourgeoise has always had the upper hand, such as owning the factories and means of work through private ownership. The reason why most of you guys here think that Communism is bad or something wrong is because America is all about individualism. Communism wants everyone to focus on the future of everyone, so no one can be lazy and think only about themselves. This also extends to the part about everyone sharing everything.

The whole Communist Theory by Karl Marx (who was German by the way) in his book, The Communist Manifesto was the whole idea that Capitalism always consisted of 1.) Private ownership of industry and 2.) Freedom of competition. What results from this is the creation of unequal economic classes (this is still true today and even in America...think about it) and there are usually two classes; the working class (Proletariat) and the upper class (Bourgeoise). The upper class always has the means of basic living such as jobs and income. The working class relys on the upper class for the money and job(s) and usually the upper class, concentrated on earning as much profit as they can due to competition or simple greed will try to cut off as much from the workers as they can. This can be from small wages or lack of workers compensation or unsafe working conditions etc. This then makes life hard for the working class, already busy trying to feed their families and maintain life etc. This then creates a class struggle where the upper class and working class try to gain wealth and means of living. This then turns into a revolution where the working class rallies to overtake the upper class (ie. The March (Febuary) and November (October) Revolutions where Lenin makes Russia a Communist country). This is where Socialism is imposed. Socialism is the step or transition phase into Communism, so this isn't Communism yet. Socialism is government ownership of industry and the goal is to bring economic equality and it aims for a classless society. This is where most Communist countries stop. Why? Because Socialism still relies on a government as an instrument to enforce rules and laws. This makes it easy for anyone who wants power to gain it. Humans, being humans will always try to grab power and unfortunately Socialism makes it easy and this is the part where you get that whole idea where Communism = Dictatorship etc. That isn't true. Communism has never been achived. Not once, nada, zilch, cero, not once in the time period of human history has Communism been achived. Why? Because somewhere at sometime during it's Socialistic transition some power hungry dumbass grabs all the power they can and POOF! now you have a Totalitarian state. And where does all that money and work go? Glorifying "Communism" or the leader. Then people start dying because of paranoia etc. Stalin was evil and history proved it. He turned the country that Lenin worked so hard to create with equality and made it into a country that was one-sided and everything went to him and the government.

Sorry for the history lesson. :p

What grade are you in? Either you're not at that grade where you learn world history, or you simply didn't pay attention during your World History class. If you didn't pay any attention, shame on you. :D

Excellent, EXCELLENT(!) post! Definetly getting a rep point for that! :D

This is what I have been telling my World History teacher for the entire year. Communism hasn't ever been truly achieved. It's been masked by a totalitarian dictatorship. Take Russia/Soviet Union as the main example. Communism was never truly achieved. It used some parts of the communist idea. However, it was twisted and warped into a completely uncommunist government. The end result was unequal pay, unqual housing, unequal health care, and unequal human rights. Communism guarntees all of these, health care, education, housing, income, and a way of life that is suitable for all peoples to have and achieve through work and a non-discriminatory system.

Because you eliminate the need for more money, you create a class that essentially, is no class! There is no rich or no poor. Wether judged by the rest of the world or not, everyone is treated the same, and given the same. If everyone gets and gives the same, where's the diverisity to discriminate? Answer. There is none! Communism is truly the ideal type of government that can give everyone everythgin they need, and at no extra cost or consequence to you or your family, or your neighbors or their family. It's a government that constantly gives, and gets what it's people give. If it's people give hard work and a no-class society, then what it gives back in return is everythign you need, and possibly want! Why would someone refuse this? Greed! Because they want it all, and not have to give the hard work it takes to make this. Greed is the root of all the evil. Communism has NEVER, and will never, have a chance to truly show it's ideals and what it can do.

We give totalitarinism a chance, but not communism, unfair if you ask me. :(

If you ask me, Communism will never be achived because we always have our worldly pleasures that interrupt the process. Humans will be humans. ;)

Tis true. It's a shame a great idea will never truly be tried. Like Einstein said, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." Well, as far as I'm concerned, "A great idea is an even worse thign to waste." Such a shame...:(

I got school soon, but i'll say this much. Commuism will not work in any large group. Possibly in a small willing grop such as less then 10,000 poeple. EVen at 10,000 it'd get shaky. China won't be commusim for long. Poeple in china are challengeing it and so is the world. If china was a commusim state they wouldn't allow private business.

Communism works best with a population of working class people like farmer, peasants etc.

Stalin was stupid. He totally made Communism look bad. He deserved a painful death. :(
