Skipping MP3s

Hello,

Just recently, when playing my MP3s on my computer they are beginning to skip...a lot. And it's annoying. It happens when I use them on Windows Media Player and iTunes leading me to believe that it is not related to the player.

Also, these are the same MP3s thay I have been enjoying for the past few years, so it's not like I downloaded corrupt files.

I recently moved and cleaned out the internals with pressurized air. Is it possible that there is dust somewhere that it shouldn't be?

On a sidenote, I burned a CD with MP3s that were skipping and it came out fine.

sounds like to me that your computer is running s****y. do a virus can, ada-ware, spybot and a defrag and it should run better. also if ur hard drive is starting to get full delete some stuff you no longer use

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

The wierd thing is that it just started happening out of nowhere, I didn't add anything extra and I'm not even connected to the internet at the moment.

It also helps to have error correction turned on for your CD/DVD re-write drives..
