hey,

i was picking up my pc to take a fan out. HOWEVER! i dropped it since i tripped over this wood thing. Anyways, the hard drive died...i start up my pc, it tries to boot from the windows cd..But theres something wierd. While u put the windows cd it it loads the drivers from the hardrive. The red hardrive light starts flashing. But then when you click install windows it says hardrive canot be found, make sure you have a hardrive in your computer. Any suggestions before i order a new hardrive?

Nah, try it in another PC and if it doesnt work, buy a new one

It happened to me once. The handle wasn't screwed completely, because the guy forgot to do it. Fortunatley, I just had a few bent pins from the I/O output. Follow Nasha's method

yea i put it in my sisters computer and it didnt work...thanks for your help im gonna get a 120gb 7200rpm hardrive now...
