Hey all, got a problem that requires help beyond my means... Today everytime I switch my PC on it gos to where windows should be and all I see is my wallpaper and that's it. No icons, no menu's, even the start bit in the bottom corner is not there.

Obviously the computer still works as I am on here... I was able to get the task manager up so I could get the net going and try and find a solution...

Any idea's?

I'm no expert on this so I'm not real sure of the specs... where will I find them?

Go to my computer> and at the top left, you will see an option that says view system information. It will give the info on your processor, OS, and RAM.

Did you download any files lately of any kind??

That's what I was going to say. Go into the Task Manager, and click "New Task". Type in explorer.exe and see what happens.

tried that and nothing.... started re-installing windows and it got to a point and said please insert Intel PRO Adapter CD-Rom which naturally I don't have
