Hunter,
I hear you are a computer tech. Perhaps we could help each other out, and have a little fun while we're at it. I'll cut straight to it-
I need a desktop that will be able to fuction as a home entertainment center as well as a home office. I am a foreign exchange trader and while it is nice to work from home, I just cannot have an average system. I need a machine that will be yawning with at least 3 realtime streaming programs running at once. I need a fast, reliable and somewhat upgradable computer. Most importantly, only because it is rare, I need more than two monitors to work independently and in tandem. I found a video card that is reasonable priced, but I have been told that there are other ways to make this happen and due to the high cost would be willing to explore all options. Nvidia Quadro4 400 nvs is what it's called.
Here in what I'm thinking:
pentium 4 2.8 atleast
160 gig hard drive
1 gig Ram with upgradable port
dual disc drives (1 cd/dvdrom and one dvdrw 16 w/dual writing)
awesome sound card
a quandro video card
Wireless card & router
An operating system and a restore disc
standard software like acrobat, and a disc player/writer...
lot of ports USB, broadband, PCI, PCE, Firewire... y'know the works
I know there are levels of quality for each of these, and we could discuss all that. At this stage in the game just send me back an e-mail telling me what you think, and then we can possibly start looking into prices, availability and time cost. If you can out price my other options we should be able to do a little business.
Anyway
I will be online quite a lot here on my little rockin laptop, so I will be in touch.
So guys, that's the deal. Please help me with this!
