Is my 17" CRT Monitor Dying?

I have a 17" CRT Compaq Monitor and I've began to notice this problem. When I leave the computer on for a little while and then go move the mouse to get it off of monitor-off-mode/screensaver, I notice little lines that flicker in and out on the screen. They aren't dark, it's just like deformeties or something. Then, I just push against the two wires in the back of the computer and it usually goes away.

Is this a sign that my monitor may be going?

Not really, maybe just a loose connection from it being banged about. Rewire the dodgy cables and see if it still does it.
