Why can't mandrake get on the internet?

Grrr. Just instaled mandrake linux, and I cant get on the internet with it. I have a 160gb hard drive. Took windows on the 90gb parition, and left the rest for linux. But, the thing is that i cant get on the internet. I try and configure but it wont let me. What am i doing wrong?
