Wow, not bad at all :p

RAM: Western Digital WD2500KS 250gb 7200rpm 16mb SATAII/300

Though that makes no sense :p I think you have memory and RAM the wrong way round.

Enjoy building that system. It'll definietly be a performer.

If you want to make it last a long time though. Why not get SLI (if you can get it for AMD) so you can connect two video cards at the same time for almost double the performance?
You'd have to change the motherboard though.

Ok build actuali. One of my mates has that mobo and its a pretty decent one. Are you building it yourself or is it pre build?

For that price, that setup SUCKS!
over 2,000 dollars will get you something BETTER than that!

Motherboard: Asus A8N-E nFORCE ULTRA/HT1000/S939/4DDR/PCIEx/GIGALAN/RAID 0, 1/ATX

The processor is good. The motherboard lacks a few features... You should check out this board:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130484#DetailSpecs

This baby has 8 (YES, EIGHT!) SATA (SATA II) 3.0G ports, plus 2 ATA ports. Includes Firewire and also has a dual Gigabit integrated lan, baby!
It also features integrated Dolby 8 channel surround sound.
Features 10 (TEN) USB 2.0 connections and supports 0/1/0+1/ 0+1/5 JBOD RAID. (That's RAID 5!!)

Mermory: Kingston KVR400X64C3AK2/1G Twin pack 1GB PC-3200 DDR 400Mhz Kit (2x512mb sticks)

Memory and RAM is the same thing in this sense. You called the HD RAM, and it's not RAM at all.

The memory is fine, but if you plan to overclock, go with 2gig DDR500 Dual Channel RAM kits.

That video card is good. Can't say anything about it.

You're wasting your tme with that hard drive. It's SATA 3.0GB/s but only runs at 7200 RPM. The bottle neck is the 7200 RPM. You could save money just using PATA.

Optcial Drive: Liteon SHW-160P6S-OEM-BLACK 16x Dual Layer DVDRW, DVD+/- Dual Layer Recording, OEM, Black

Mouse & Keyboard Combo: Microsoft Basic Black Optical Value 2.0 Keyboard and Mouse combo

Get rid of that Microsoft mouse and keyboard. It's crap. You need something better.

Keyboard:

Mouse:

LiteOn DVD Burner and CD Burners are actually good. LiteOns are actually one of the top 10 best CD/DVD drive manafacturers. Good choice.

Sound Card: Creative - Audigy Value

That LCD monitor sucks!
If you're gonna spend 280 bucks on a monitor, at least use DVI and not RGB analog.

Get this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824021019#DetailSpecs

The monitor is 19 inches. So, it's the same size as the one you picked out. The constrast may not be as high(500:1 instead of 600:1), but the cd/m2 is much higher and plus this monitor supports DVI. Not only that, but it's 8ms. Much better than 12ms. Not only that, but it's cheaper.

HaHa, have to give all the thnx to Quinton, Thanks for all the research! But the monitor... Rosewill .... Am not so sure about that. Am gonig to make a few changes and ill brb.

Sorry bout double post. ...
is this good? Seagate ST3200826A Barracuda 7200.8 200GB 7200rpm ATA100 8mb Cache
