I need some anti-virus software

Alright... My Norton Anti-Virus subscription has expired... What is a good software to get to replace it? I want a slim application (not with tons of features, just keep the shit off my comptuer) with an updated definition list and a scanner. Know of any?

Oh and has to be free.

its free, and reliable, and is probably the best free one out there.

I'd use it if I didn't have Norton.

Avast or AVG for free ones....

when ever my norton subscriptio runs out i jsut uninstall it then delete all the files from my comp and all of the programs registry entires restart my comp then reinstall

You also need a firewall, i use zonealarm.

Try AntiVir.
it's free, and it's one of the best anti-viruses I've ever used.

Definately Avast is the way to go, its not that resource hungry like some of those antivirus packages out there....AVG is also a good way to go, but I think that avast has more control over it.

Avast or AVG- Both free, and great.
I use Avast- over a year and counting- still infection free

No, honestly though, any of those programs will do. I'd probably try Avast if I were you.
