Ventrilo causes lag while playing games

To this day, I primarily use 2.1.4.

However, I had an issue with all versions that caused my game controls to lag, and the fps to studder. I fixed it by updating my sound drivers, hope that helps you.

I use teamspeak and I never have a problem with lagging, try that and see if that makes you lag too.

where is the vent server?
I know, kinda a long gues but I'd imagine that if there is a huge ping to the server it would use a bigger part of the internet connection, leaving less for ur game to use.

yeah teamspeek is so nice but now im back on vent with my old clan, but its still good and never causes me lag.
