opteron 146/148

does the opteron 146 OC as well as the 148?
and is the 146 worth the extra money? or should i just spend the extra $50 and get the 148?

Pros: Great Cpu, oc's like no other, of course the 146 oc's much better, but good luck finding one....

Other Thoughts: might want to search around and make sure your mobo is stable with this. My ABIT fatal1ty runs it fine, and im pretty sure the DFI boards run it fine as well"

im sure it does but the 148 is slightly faster but ude still get a decent overclock out of the 146

what do u mean by "decent"? can it OC just as well/almost as high as the 148?

Haha, well, glad I helped! I doubt I really did, but it just seemed that after I posted my idea (I didn't really get the idea from anyone else, I just saw the Opteron on Newegg and wondered) a lot of people started posting .

a lot of people have known about the opterons for a while even before jamxx but he did remind people , as for overclocking that 146 i think u should be able to hit 2.8GHz
