IM a noob needing help please

I have an Hp AMD w/ PCI slots. Onboard video.

A Radeon 9250 PCI video card.

I connect the card no pic. Nothing/no signal

I disable my onboard card no pic.

Hp support tried but said my card had to be a bad one but I just bought it.
I am so frustrated.

Please help.

Does the Computer sound like it's running e.g fans, lights etc?

Does the Computer work ok with the onboard graphics?

Can you try the new graphics card in another Computer?

Yes fans and lights, yes onboard graphics but if i try onboard while card is connected I see nothing also tried disable in device mgr. same results, no other comp to try

Memory issue mate, what do you have in there right now and also how many clots are there and also what is the spec of the pc in the manuel, more pisific what does the manual say about the memory etc... please post all.

Also does the onboard GFX work? if so, then enable in the bios the PCI GFX card and then disable the onboard one.

Lets start again, Could you please specifi how many MEMORY SLOTS you have on your motherboard. Also with the 1 GB is it in 2 512mb sticks or what? what is the spec of these?????

Im not intrested with PCI Slots etc....

Very funny I told you i was noobin it.

I went into my bios an surprisingly it was set to pci by default but it has onboard video. does this help you understand my situation?
