2. Socket M2 - 940 pin, Socket F - 1024 pin I think

4. AMD Dual core FX-60 ( I think that is more of an opinion question )
5. stands for dynamic host configuration protocol - used for giving different ip's on the same network - uses static and dynamic addressing
6.Crossover - used for direct connection to other devices?? Straightthrough - standard ethernet connection - used for internet. - sorry explanation crap
7. WAN - wide area network, a network used by companies all over the world, used alot for telecommunications, used public phone lines to transfer data
8. LAN - local area network - usually a network in one building or workplace - VPN - virtual private network - used for live telecommunications
9. Telnet - a protocal used in networks, used to communicate with servers, clients and other devices

1. It uses a quad pumped FSP to communicate to each "core." Although it's not a dual core but rather a "double" core.

3. It shuts off virtual RAM, or Page File, at 2 gigabytes of RAM.

4. Actually it is the most powerful gaming CPU on the market. Go to Tom's Hardware and check it out!

1. What is intel's 64 bit architecture called?

2. How fast is SATA II? (This is easy...)

3. Why is it that AMD processors have lower frequencies, yet they compete with higher frequency intel CPUs?

4. What is currently the smallest die size used on a chip?

5. What is RAID 0/1/2/3/4/5?

You know what's funny. I don't know the easy question. But I know number 4 because I read something on it today!

Then again I don't have any SATA hard drives. So meh!

3. The AMD northbridge is different i think. It doesn't use the 800mhz fsb system like the intel, instaed it uses hypertransport that has a bandwidth of 2000mhz. I have also heard that intel uses a different formula to calculate their processors freqencies, but i think this is bs. Also the Amd's use true 64-bit technology which increases their preformance dramatically. And i think the AMD 64's have an intregrated memory controller that helps them to perform effectivly.(i should have cheated and googled this)

5. Raid is found in Hardrives often as back ups, perfomance gain, security etc.
RAID 0-splits data evenly across two or more disks with no parity
RAID 1-creates an exact copy of a set of data on two or more disks
RAID 2- stripes data and uses a code to correct errors
RAID 3- uses striping with a dedicated parity disk
RAID 4- large sections of striping with a dedicated parity disk
RAID 5- uses block-level striping with parity with info distirbuted across all disks.

What is RPM??How much RPM SHOULD someone have? What hardware does RPM pertain to.

RPM - revs per minute, I believe. Or rounds. Something like that. You should have enough so that your exhausts scream over about 6000. Hardware? Why, the engine, of course!!!
