Ok Can some one please tell me why the downlaod of 3DMark®2001 SE Free Version which is only like 36 megabytes takes about 10 hours when the download of the quake 4 demo which was only like 300 something megabytes took only like 15 minutes.... ok tell me why the download that was bigger was faster...

It is your download speed. Where were you downloading 3DMark? If it was from Softpedia, find somewhere else, because it is always very slow there (everything is, usually). Do a search on Google for some more download locations.
