Ok, just got all my compensation through so Ive devided to build my own computer, for the fun of it. I know these posts annoy, but I want to know what you think. The system will be for gaming, im going to start gaming alot more now, and im going to use it as a home server sorta thing, the one I have at the mo isant doing job proparly :(

P.S These are the parts im buying in england, i just found it easier to show em you lot on newegg.

video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102646 (x2)

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102646 plus another 512 from somewhere, might just get 2x1GB though..

SLI motherboard with dual ATI Graphics cards!????

the link you've gave for ram is the same as one for graphics card.

i dont see why you need an ide hard drive with the dual sata drives you got? is that no enough!? and at least get a sata one if you must have a third drive.

that motherboards awesome! :D Iv got it!

the processor speaks for itself!!

Yeah, sorry, heres the ram link, im confised about SLI, someone point me in the right direction for some sli cards...i really dont know much about it.

yeah, motherboard looks ace I think..

im just guna get this I think http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145575

The reason for the extra IDE..
my brother has his computer in his room which is really good, well not really, the hard drive is 20GB, and he has loads of music, so im just going to share that to his room and he can use it for whatever. ill also put my movies on there, hes got a load of movies as welll..might just come in handy.

sli has to be 2 nvidia cards! minimum they can be is 6600's i think! part from that any two with the same gpu on them!

so twin 6600 GT's for example! or twin 6800's!

what you cant have is one 7800 and one 6600. or two radeon x800's! :)

system looks nice!!

thought about getting an external hard drive then(USB)? Im not so confident about using sata drives and ide ones! i had a bad experience with them before! :( but if you want... :D

Well the motherboard has got something like 6 SATA ports hasnt it? So I could just get those two 250Gb ones, then a smaller one, ill talk to my bro, because hes putting a little towards it. Ill go for the two 6800's then, I really want this system to be really good because ill buy a stack load of games for it.

thanks

get 6800 gs or if u can afford it get the 7800 gtx, one will typically beat almost any sli setup other than two 7800gtx's or gt's

Looking at it, the CPU is way too expensive! The FX60 just came out...and yet, it takes 1/2 of the money...go for it if you really want to buy it

Second, SLi is uniting two cards with a bridge that will make games perform faster and easier.

The rest is OK, but if you are going to play BF2, get 2GB RAM or 4GB RAM DDR433

At last, can I have your old PC?

I have a quick comment, and I intend no offense, I'm just trying to help. If you are getting that CPU you need to get some 7800GT's at the very least, otherwise I think it'll be a little bit of a waste. I would rather have the FX-57 and two 7800GTX's than the FX-60 and a 7800GT. I don't know what the prices compare but I'm guessing they're about the same. Also, I don't like that case. But that's just my opinion, if you like it then definitely keep it!
