If all else fails, just delete all the files in the temp folder. Show hidden files and folders first.

Nothing but your temperary Internet files, ie every Web page you've visted. Each time you visit the Internet, the pages you view download into a temp folder- which is where most adware will be found. The Web pages you visit online download into this temp folder, so the next time you visit the Web site, it comes up faster, because you already have most of the information downloaded- all your browser has to do is to download the newest information. In short, you loose a few seconds for loading a Web page- what could that hurt?

Just go to (IE) Tools>Internet Options>Tempory Internet Files>Delete Files>All offline files>Ok
