Fan Noise

Hello....

I have a Dell XPS Desktop Generation 3 (blue) and the fan is rather loud, and i would like to do something to it so it can become a silent machine. Any ideas or tips? Thanks

Well...u might just want to get a new fan..or donwload speed fan

You can buy a fan controller so you can turn down the speeds of your fans when you don't need their full power or replace it with something quieter.

find out which fan is making the most noise then tell us what it is and we can recommend replacements

Well make sure you can actually open it and put a new fan in. It's a propietary computer, so you might not be able to upgrade it.

I downloaded speedfan and it has fan 1 going at 2050 rpm and fan 2 going at 1878 rpm (ADM1027-chip)

I dont have time now to go into the motherboard, but there are some specs and i will get back on the product info. Thanks
