oh, so it doesnt really matter how many are on a mobo then, right?... for a general home pc.
can a regualr pci card fit in a pcie1x slot? or are pcie1 they pretty much a complete waste of my space?

pretty much waste of space, unless your like a millionaire, but they put them on the really small cheap boards for some reason, maybe so they sound better, i dno. You can get video cards for them though, so some people might prefer them because of the size. I dno.
