Alright. I know these threads can be annoying, but if you are someone who is forking out more than just a chunk of cash in a few hours, you like to be sure of stuff.

Few things to point out/ask:
1) I have a video card, 6600gt
2) I'm not worried about keyboard mouse and monitor, for now I'll use a KVM switch with the stuff I'm on currently
3) Is it alright just to go with XP home, compared to Pro? Alot cheaper, just maybe I don't know about some performance issues?
4) I also have this case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811163022
Won it in a raffle so no I'm not buying a case, haha

Just need to know if everything will work together!!!

What I have below, in addition to the case, KVM switch, and 6600gt, is ALL I'm ordering currently. Let me know if I need any fans, cables, any little dinky connectors of some type, etc.. The case I have has two 120's in it, one in the back and one in the front. I also have this fan, I have no idea where to put it? ...: http://www.thermaltake.com/dcfans/ComboCool/startforce/blue/a2266.htm

Yeah, everything will work. Looks nice indeed. Are you sure you don't want a DVD burner? That combo drive only burns CDs and I know you mentioned to me before that you want it to be able to burn everything.

Err, Alright, lemme look into that, one second..

You can get that 3700+ from zipzoomfly for $214 shipped.

I'm getting it for $213 after a combo deal with that PSU..

Personally, I like LG because all my previous build uses LG. Never had a problem. Sony were the one's giving me headaches however. If you want to stay with the black color drive (matches your case of course), I would get this:

LG Black 16X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 16X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 5X DVD-RAM 2M Cache E-IDE / ATAPI DVD Burner - OEM

Looks like it comes with Nero and everything. Nero is good software, but I'm using Roxio too.

I would use the whole thing (that fan and the heatsink it comes with). That fan was probably designed to be used with that particular heatsink. Get the XP Home. It has majority of the features of Pro and it cost less. Since you are using this at home, I don't see any reason to go Pro unless you want to spend the extra money to get it.

You lost me. I know the processor comes with a heatsink and fan, and then I have this TT fan, it's got a 90 to 80mm adapter, so I don't know if I should replace the fan that comes with the 3700+ with this? Or just use both the fan and heatsink that come with the processor and put this somewhere else?

Edit: "Application for 8cm & 9cm heatsink" So I'm guessing this would work better than the stock fan, so use this with the heatsink that comes with the 3700?

If your really stuck try that XP pro lite. Runs rapid on anything at all

Honestly, I would just use the stock cooling with the CPU and save some money. But if you really must use the Thermaltake cooling, use their fan and heatsink and mount it onto the Athlon 64 CPU. You won't have to worry about the stock heatsink and fans if you choose to use the Thermaltake heatsink/fans.
