my wmpis till not working, i try to play a video off of the internet and it will open up wmp and then say error program must close, and if i window opens up with a player on the website it will bring up the error message and close my intenet browser. i tried deleting a reinstalling wmp and downloading winamp but nether one of those worked. so does anyone know what wrong and what can i do to fix this

What does the error say exactly? Maybe you need third party codecs installed or something.

it just say error has occured and when i open iot for more info its just a bunch of numbers do you know which codec i might need installed and how to get it

is their a place i can download these codecs to make WMP work properly again

the problem is most likely not codecs if the program is crashing like that. what version of wmp do you have? you might try downloading the latest version from microsoft to see if that helps. have you checked your pc for spyware and viruses? that could be causing a problem too. maybe a registry scanner too.
