umm, get some insulated wire and strip the ends just big enough to make contact with battery, tape it on battery. Hope you know some about circuits...
from what I can see, it could be done using maybe duct tape(or just scotch, although it's not as strong). Just realy make sure you have a complete circuit and no shortcircuits and you should be fine.
But if it is the same power of laser as in optic drive, be ULTRA careful not to get in any bodys eyes.
