Will This Be a Problem?

Hi everyone, I wasnt sure what topic this should go under, so I put it here.
Anyway, i have a Thermaltake HSF on the way from newegg, should be here tomorrow. My question is, it has a 3-pin mobo connector, but my Intel HSF I am using now is a 4-pin mobo connector. My mobo is an ASUS P5GD1, and it has two fan ports: One says CPU_FAN, it has a ground, CPU fan power, CPU fan in, and CPU fan PWM (dunno what that means) pins. The other says: PWR_FAN and has ground, +12V, and rotation pins. It seems like the HSF should be on the first one, but it is only 3...What should I do? Does it need an adapter?

Thanks for the help,
Derek

Yeah, from what I read, I think it will. the 3pin and 4pin thing is a conflict... even if it does work, which I doubt it will, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Anyone else? On another forum I'm a part of, they said it is fine to us a 3-pin on a 4-pin slot. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Derek
