Someone please tell me what the heck this is. It's been on my computer for ages and I can't get rid of it, but it's not picked up by virus scan or spyware scans of any sort. I think it's some sort of carp someone made up and sent to me, but I can't figure out how to remove it. It randomly pops up and says "TYPE IN PASSWORD". The only problem is I have no idea what it goes to or what password it is asking for.
Here it is:

Also, if any mod thinks this belongs in another forum, sorry about the misplacement... I just figured it might be a virus of sorts.

maybe its trying to get you to type the passwords you most frequently use.
Just a guess

but i have never seen it, and dont know what it is.

Just to clarify, I have seen it magically pop up on a number of occasions, but I most often see it when I come back to my comp. from activities (It's on all the time.) I just hope someone knows what it is, or how to find it (It might be in my Temp. files or something.) Thanks.

what was the last thing you or anyone did on the computer, that you can think of, before it started poping up?

Well, My M-Board burned out and I had to repair it, then it was normal internet browsing from there. It appeared about 2 weeks after repairs. It could have been in a download or something...

Nope... Wired LAN. It never did anything like this before, and I haven't updated any firmware, either.

have you done any windows updates? Basically have you done anything, before this happened, that you have never done before?

do you download music using, limewire, winmx, kazaa, imesh?

browse porn sites?

click on any pop ups?

gotten a weird email?

music-Bittorent, scanned thoroughly with AS and AV progs

I did have someone over that DLed some Runescape (crappy online game) hacks. This could have something to do with it. HOWEVER, I did del. all of the files afterward. I have a feeling the "nuisance" has embedded itself in my TEMP folder or something. It shows up on 0 scans as well. I'm sure I could use something like HijackTHIS and find it, though... I might post a scan log with that tomorrow.
