Because raptors are a huge waste of money. Get the 150GB raptors if you have the money. But the cost per gigabyte is outrageous.

exactly. And something like the hitachi deskstars actually give u quite much the same performance as a raptor, but offers u more space, and doesn't cost that much.

yea i was lookin at the raptors on newegg yesterday and it seems that they are great hd's but as stated before they are pretty expensive. haven't checked the hitachi's yet, probably should though

Yeah but somebody who is exclusively into gaming doesnt need the extra space. But i do agree about the hitachi's though if you need the extra space go for them.
