The best graphics card for me is...?

Im just wondering what graphics card i should buy. Im lookin at the geforce 7800GT atm but i cant tell the difference between the expensive versions and cheaper versions (for the most part) any advice on which card i should get or what the differences are? I like to consider myself a gamer too. (only to those who dont judge) *dont worry about sys reqirements, just price. Prolly around $300. Ive been shopping off newegg.com*

The 7800GT is a fantasic card, and will play every game well.

The price differences are usually down to the manufacturer of the card.

XFX are always more expensive than, say, Sparkle

Some people will say it's because of brand name, some will say it's the quality of the card that's down to the price difference.

Also, you'll usually find the most expensive version of any particular card has a higher clock speed than the least expensive.

I would get the Evga 7800gt. Its one of the cheapest ones, but its made by one of the best comanies with a great warranty.

BFG or EVGA make some very good quality 7800gt's. Indeed... and yes, the clock speeds are higher with price. It depends if you get the card overclocked or not.
