i just created a wishlist at Newegg.com on what i hope to get for my new pc that i plan on building soon. i am posting this here because i was wondering if everything is compatible with each other. if anyone has any recommendations as to what i have or dont have please let me know

HDD: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16822148065

CD/DVD: Not sure yet, any suggestions would be great. i want something that can burn cd's and dvd's

Also say i was to get this: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16827152048
does that act only as a cd/dvd burner or can u also play things like dvds and games on it.
I am aware that the mobo listed is agp and not pci-e, i picked agp b/c my vid card is agp and i'm not sure if they make pci-e and agp mobos. i also already have a psu and 1g of Corsair ram
thanks

You my friend, have one KICK ASS PROCESSOR 4400, dual core. holllly crap.
and you have a nice case. You need a motherboard. I am not sure if this motherboard is entirely compatible or if any of the slots are right but all i know is u need an AMD antlon 64x2 compatible motherboard. I chose this one as an example but you can get a better one.

EDIT: Get 1gb or more of system memory (RAM) It will work great. Corsair is the best brand for that. Also, about your hard drive. I would suggesst change it. change it to a maxtor or a western digital. they seem to be the best brands

thank you for your suggestions, i will most definately change my hdd, probably to western digital. also with the link u recommended, it doesnt work so since it doesnt what is the product name of it

i would get that motherboard except for the fact that i have an agp video card, nVidia 6800, is it worth it to buy that + a new vid card?

A 6800 vanilla? If you want to play the latest games, a 6800 vanilla just isn't going to cut it.
