Choosing RAM

That's the MOBO I'm planning to get. It has four slots for RAM. I'm aiming at 2 GB of RAM. Would 4 sticks at 512 mb each be better than 2 sticks at 1 gb each?

I would get 2x 1gb just so you have room if u wanted to have more. Dont make any conclusions before others have posted.

Yeah, I figured I should leave myself open to expand in the future. I'm planning on waiting for other opinions to be sure, though, as you said. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm most likely getting 2x 1GB instead of 4x 512. If u use 4x 512 then there is no room left, though 2GB will be enough for some time.
And by the time that 2GB isn't enough the rams are going to be faster, and ddr2.
But I'd still go with 2x 1GB because u never know when u are going to upgrade, the the performance difference isn't that big.

Once I heard that it would be about 20% increase in performance.
But that's just something I heard so I can't promise u that it's true.
