Its says my ICMP port is open though

there is 5 scans. The ICMP one on quick scan works, but the real ICMP one doesn't. (see the other scans on the left side)

My ICMP port is open ... this also showed up on my port scans using Shields Up ... other than that, all blocked ...

Even if you didn't have a firewall that'd be completely pointless. All those ports are services usually provided by a server. Most people never have any of those services running. Plus you can edit the configuration so they run on different ports. Last but not least, the ports running them, if they were closed (cause they're not using that service) they wouldn't respond to incoming packets anyway.

erm.... Im guessing this isnt even a good test because its prompting you to buy software?

where? I'm guessing that it tells u to get try sygate personal firewall right?
Well it's a test that sygate provides, so ofcourse they will advertise their product.
