I have more than basic knowledge of computers though im not so hot at building my own... but im givin it a shot. here are the basic things ive picked out for my new comp. My main question is what motherboard should i go for? i really dont know what i need concerning this. I am also wondering if a 300w power supply would be enough?
*all the prices are from amazon.com. Im gonna shop around for better deals but that takes more time. I also am planning on using parts from my current pc including cd/dvd drives, network card, moniter, etc.*

any other suggestions on what i should go with or where i should get it would be great. these are just some of the things, i am aware i need cables, cooling glue, and other basics as well.

well u need a mobo with socket 939 and pci-e, ooh, and the mobo & ram need to have the same amount of pins.
And ddr2 ram doesn't work with amd yet.
And a 300W PSU is not going to be enough, I'd say get a 450W.

and one more thing, if u live in the US I'd do my shopping at www.newegg.com

Don't get a 300 watt power supply unless you're running a first generation Athlon or something. With those specs you got now, I suggest a 450watt power supply. The CPU is badass and so is the video card. The RAM needs work because it won't work with your Athlon system. You need to use DDR not DDR2 memory. Get a OCZ or Corsair DDR400 RAM. THat case is so hot, I'm literally drooling a bit right now. Everything looks good though. Change the power supply and the RAM:
