Dual Core question.

Like i said before, your only going to see benchmark differences. You wont notice any difference in games.

Looking over it, get this one
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Dual Core Processor - Retail

because, slighly slower, although really, with that nice of a processor, you only see number differences, you wont see a performance difference. And its cheaper.

I see 1 GHz FSB - where's the procesing speed? How many GHz is this CPU? I'm kinda new to this stuff, so I wanna get a grasp on it.

Would that processor, being 2.4 GHz, still be better then a Pentium 4 630 3.0 GHz processor? There's a 600 MHz jump, but from what I'm understanding here, even with that gap, the AMDs still rule over Intels.

Comparing Intels to AMDs is like comparing apples to oranges. You cant give a fair comparison between them. What are you going to be doing with the processor?

Yeah, AMD and Intel don't have the same ratings, let alone the same architecture. An Athlon 64 2.4GHz can easily compete with a Pentium 4 3.5GHz or higher.
