Specs look good and MSI do make nice motherboards. I owned 2-3 of them before and never had a problem with each one. That will work well with the Athlon 64 3500+ Venice. Nice combo. Now get that 2x512MB DDR400 OCZ Gold or Corsair XMS and dual channel them. Also get the 7800GT video card you want to get now and add another one later. I don't see any problems with CPU not handling it. It will.

You only need Sli, with like dual 6600gt's, or 68oogt's. You dont need it with a 7800. Although that would be insane.

6600gt does not have SLI and second i have a 6600gt and it does not need it. it owns it... i have gotten like 60 FPS on BF2(which requires a tremendous amount of power) maxed out...

Actually you can SLI 6600gt's. money_man im pretty sure has 6600gt's sli'ed

Yeah, 6600GTs can be SLI'ed. I have one myself and it has the SLi connector.
