do i need sli or not ??

Look at me. I don't have an SLi motherboard (my sig). I have a single 7800GT and it OWNs pretty big. Good numbers and playing everything at max.
 
You only need Sli, with like dual 6600gt's, or 68oogt's. You dont need it with a 7800. Although that would be insane.
 
You know you will build or upgrade again after a couple of years. There are a lot of new stuff coming out next year. Socket M2, DDR2, new nvidia geforce 8000 or something, next generation X2's, new motherboards, etc., etc. Never ending. WIth the setup I have now, and yours is pretty similar, it can easily last more than a few years if you're not that type of person that MUST have all the latest and greatest stuff.
 
k well whats a good mobo then and i dont like that one you showed me TRD lots of bad reviews :-/
 
ok i have decided to go wiht that msi with sli capability and the venice 3500. i mean if im going to pay 100 for a mobo i might as well get the sli one :)
