1 Stick of 1gb or 2x512mb

Hey guys i found an awsome deal at a store of corsiar value select rams.
I gonna replace my old ram to the new corsiar ones. I only have 2 slots of ram. What do think I should get 2 sticks of corsair ram or 1 stick of 1gb ram and then upgrade another 1gb later?

Well, if your motherboard supports dual channel RAM support, get 2 sticks of RAM. 512MB each.

id get 1 stick of 1gb that way later if ur mobo supports dual channel you can get another one down the road, and have 2gb dual channel

I believe my motherboard doesn't have dual channel. What should I do?

Just get the one stick then. It won' really matter in that case.

It doesn't really matter. Which ever one's the cheapest I guess. Maybe the one stick of 1GB. It's easier to install just one.

Just grab up the 1gb stick for the simple fact that if you want to upgrade to 2gb in the future, you are going have to buy 2 1gb sticks anyway. So why not save the extra money and just get the 1gb stick now. Forget 1gb dual channel when you can eventually have 2gb on dual channel when you are ready. Sounds good?
