copying a partition

like someone said nothing better than a fresh install. Hoever the new HD nees to be partitioned first and that you need the appropriate software to do it..torrents

well, this is the thing. i just bought a new computer with no OS. so io wanted to put the Partitioned HDD into the new computer, press f10 when it boots up. reinstall windows from the partition. so then i would copy the partition from my old HDD to the new blank HDD. then i would take out my old HDD, put the new one as master, press f10 during boot up, install windows and everything be all set


o and Dsource, i have no Windows CDs so i have to use the partition

You need the windows CD's to install windows. just because a HDD has windows on it does not mean you can do a frsh install from it.

Your best bet would be to just try and use the old HDD as the master for the computer. windows will probably fight with you at ever corner because of all the hardware changes but it's better then nothing.
