computer help??

this morning when i started my computer,the screen suddenly turned black,so i unplugged it and turned it back on and it said to put the comp back to a time when it was working correctly,so i did.but a year ago a had another comp that the screen turned black and it keep turning off on me and three days later it wouldnt turn on anymore.this computer is hardly year old.
can someone give me info on this and has it happen to anybody here???

That can happen for a lot of reasons. First of all, your computer may be overheating. Look at your temperatures when you boot. Also, you may have Windows XP set to automatically restart when an error message occurs. This is the default setting for XP, so that users dont see error messages. Your hard drive/hd connections could be bad, but if its only a year old, I don't think so...
