Advice needed...

Hi guys,
I need a new system that will last me a few years without upgrading anything too expensive. I will use it for gaming and some media editing(Photoshop) aswell as internet use and other everyday stuff.

This is what I had in mind.

AMD Athlon 64 FX57 or X2 4800
Gigabyte S939 GA-K8NXP-SLI Athlon 64 Mobo
DDR2 1GB Giel Ultra 667MHz Dual Channel RAM
74GB WesternDigital Raptor 10000rpm SATA HDD
Gigabyte 7800GTX 256MB PCIe Video Card
Pioneer dual layer 16x DVD burner

Any changes that need to be made? And which processor should I get?

ddr2 doesn't work with amd yet.
Other than that it's a great computer, though another GB of ram would be nice, but not necessary.

Looks like you want to be able to do a little of everything. Get the Athlon 64 X2 4800+.
