All eyez on me...Guru attention needed!!

Nah, Opterons are good but only when overclocked.

Get the X2 along with 2 7800GTXs (1 GTX beats any ATi). And make sure you get a A8N-SLI. I've added you to MSN

Was looking at the benchmark tests. The 1 256 GTX gets creamed by the 512 ATI.

System so far.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+

2x 256MB BFG Geforce 7800 GTX-OC's

Got the 2 comps down to what I want in each. Which do you all think will be the better gaming comp? Keep in mind that I dislike O/Cin. and most likely wont be doing that.
*Went with 2x 256 GTX's cause it will beat 1 512 ATI. and since crossfire is well a joke right now. I will stick with Nvidia for yet another round*

You dont need only guru's attention. There are plenty of other people here that know much more then lots of guru's. Me included. Dont sterotype.

Just an FYI bud. There was no sterotype there. I asked to talk to a guru. In no way did I say they knew more about computers then anyone else. So do try to learn the english language next time you try and flame someone kk?? Thx bro. l8es

For a gaming rig, get anything that has dual geforce 7800GTX 256MB or 512MB. Right now, the Athlon 64 FX-57 is suppose to be the major ownage now for gaming, but get the fastest dual core money can buy and that is the Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo. That extra cache is nice but expensive.

Here's my list part for part:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo 1GHz FSB 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor - Retail

or

AMD Athlon 64 FX57 San Diego 1GHz FSB 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103558

*Make sure you get a good case for cooling if you are using this motherboard, like the one I recommend below:
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131568

2 of these:
eVGA 256-P2-N529-AX Geforce 7800GTX 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130237

or 2 of these babies (may be overkill, but you got the best there is):
BFG Tech BFGR78512GTXOC Geforce 7800GTX 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143044

2 of these and set as RAID 0:
Western Digital Raptor WD740GD 74GB 10,000 RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102189

Hell of a nice case with PCI slot and CPU cooling:
Lian Li PC-60APlus Silver Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811112077

CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145524

Total OWNAGE!!! The reason why I like that motherboard is because there are no restrictions on video bandwidth. You are using full throttle x16 speed on both PCI-e x16 slots instead of half speed on all the other motherboards avaialble now.

the one with 2 x1800s. unless you plan to get 2 512mb 7800s. that will be better. but the 512s only cuz theyre better than x1800s.
