That's UPS for you. They will always be an alternative to Fed Ex. You happen to get unlucky with the person handling it at their facility or somewhere during transport. I'm sure the speakers will work fine. INside the retail packaging, there are styrofoam padding all over and your popcorn padding inside help to reinforce it so I'm pretty confident they'll be in great working order without a scratch by the time you open it. Outside looks like a POS, but Logitech does a great job in securing their products from within. That will hopefully build you some confidence.

I don't think Newegg will do something like that. I've heard stories about UPS know to mishandle packages from time to time.

I didn't get the Retail, i got the OEM, because it was 10 dollars cheaper. Which was smart, because i don't need the retail packaging.
