I said ati graphics cards for my recommendation. I want to test ati but dont want to blow that much just to test them. I also may buy a backup nvidia card just in case. and it might was well be the 6600 since it looks like a nice card for the buck.

these are the cheapest ones that I can find that dont look half ass cards. I am not going to sift through 20 pages of benchmarks I just need one simple answer!

the amount of DVi's dont make a diff and who cares wht u get in the box, the most fun come from tweaking the card

Hmmmm I wonder hwo the X1300 compares to other cards. It has insane clock speeds but it only has 4 pixel pipelines. But then again, with ATi's launch of the X1k family, they have done soemthign different to the pixel pipelines. I wonder what it is they did. I used to know but can't remember.

The X1k family is very efficient (especially the R520 core). Each pipeline and shader does more per clock, and the memory controller is far superior to what anything nVIDIA has (the same goes for the 512-bit memory ring bus).

The X1300 isn't bad for the price. At least it's better than the essentially outclassed X700.

Whoa, I've been away for awhile. Someone mention the 6600gt 's overclocking stats. It does seem to overclock well, but I've only just tested out the overclocking since I've not been able to find a decent cpu/gpu/mobo/fan - speed/temp/voltage utility.

cool. I guess Ill be getting the x1300! yay! now 2 months till I get my new system!
