Refurbs, worth the savings?

I'm planning on buying a new computer but my dad doesnt want to blow his wallet open. So I was looking at refurbdepot and those computers are REAL cheap. Seems good for my dad but what about the reliability?

So the question here is: Should I buy a refurbished computer?

Ive gotten a refurbed video card, ctr monitor, and a sound card. All worked great, id say yes.

Refurbished products are very reliable, if they do it correctly. I know some companies, refurbish means to retest the hardware and if it works, it pass. Most companies will actually "recycle" the old product and recondition them with new internal workings so the final ouput is still cheaper than brand new retail part. I would say get it and if it doesn't work, send it back for repairs or refund.
