alright i got like 100 avi

and i just want to convert them to mpeg or soemthing that someone with like no comp skills or codecs will be able to watch

I use DVD Movie Factory 4 for this (although it costs some money, its worth it if you ever make DVDs). Otherwise, you could probably go with something simpler like this:
