actually there are a lot of differences between home and prof if they have not been mentioned already . home can not join a domain, has simple file sharing, uses the guest account for workgroup sharing, does not have back up ( can be installed fron the os cd). There are alot here is a link

Actually Tractorboy ... it was mentioned near the beginning of this thread (by me, in fact) that joining domains can only be done with Pro not Home. You'd see it if you read each post.
