Why would you submerge the entire computer in vegetable oil? That's the stupidest thing ever. Just get a pump, some tubes, and a metal box, cut a hole in the top part of the box, take the part that's cvut off, bend it into a circle, weld it into place, then put oil or water or whatever in the metal frame, then weld the circlular piece back onto the metal frame, then put a tube on that circle thing, attack tube to pump, turn on pump. Should work in theory...

But yeah, why would you submerge the ENTIRE computer? That's just stupid...

dude. no one can get the fx 57 that high because it would lock up. it has a oc ing point and it will just lock up so its impossible to get it to six ghz.

it's NOT stupid! when u submerge the computer in oil the entire compoents will be completly cooled for HIGH OC abilities. when u cool pretty much just the processor and chipset it can still get messed ^ easially. becides it'll be fun! experamenting with this stuff is alot of fun. we wont have the HD PSU CD drive in it though, if u read some of the other posts.

both of these are on LN2. Look at the FX Validation. 2-2-2-5 timings one of them is even PC2700! Sounds like legendary BH-5 to me

WTF?!?! 7.5GHz is almost unheard of. What kind of cooling keeps it cold enough to generate such a high clock at a stable rate? Phase change? Water?

For the Athlon one, it says FX-25 instead of FX-57 lol.

sign my fx-57 up for that, i was researching phase change too, but it doesn't seem like a long term solution..

I hear that phase change can keep your CPU cool down to below 0 degrees.

it depends what kind of phase change. Any phase change will keep your processor below 0*C. If you want a multi stage (also called a cascade) it will get your cpu to
-100*C. The FX-25 thing is probably a bug. It happens a lot of the time with high clocks.
