Windows xp media center (no backgrounds,larg text)

hi i was wandering if anyone could help me with this problem on windows xp

there doesn't seem to be any backgrounds anymore on any program, also the text is larger than normal. I ive tried changing the display setting and appearance but nothing seems to get the backgrounds back.
Like norton has its layout image but instead its just a box and white text.

does anyone know how to fix this?

erm....never heard of that before

what settings did you change that made it all disapear or did you delete anything?

guessing id say something is missing from the likes of the windows folder

sounds like it might be your vid driver. try going to sytem in control panel, then hardware, then devices..see if your vid card is installed ok. right click
on the desk top and click props then settings, what are your vid settings ?
